About Me

​

Jazlynne is a Stage Manager at Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor, Maine. She is currently working as the Production Stage Manager on Steel Magnolias! Steel Magnolias runs from September 4 to September 28. 

​

​Jazlynne works everyday on productions that exemplify the power of storytelling and inspire enlightening ideas. On top of that her work at Penobscot Theatre Company promotes diversity, inclusivity, and acceptance, while showcasing amazing world class talents from the people who play on the set to the ones who stay behind it. She enjoys working in a collaborative environment and truly thrives in a fast paced and together community. Her passion for creating safe, exceptional, inclusive, and beautiful theatre is contagious and undeniable.

 

Her love for Stage Managing lies in the processes of collaboration, communication, and creation. She loves to witness the development of ideas on a page to a final tangible piece of art on a stage. Jazlynne flourishes when developing interpersonal connections and showing genuine care for all involved while she helps to maintain an artistic vision.

 

Jazlynne has worked regionally since she graduated in 2020 and enjoys exploring new areas, new companies, and new nuances within theatre. Before Penobscot Theatre Company, she worked as the Assistant Stage Manager on Jersey Boys in NY on Long Island. She was the touring Assistant Stage Manager for Stranger Things: The Experience and the touring Stage Manager on The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience produced by Netflix and Fever. She enjoyed living on the move and experiencing new aspects of stage managing, while having the best time with Demogorgons and on the Queen's court! Her experience with large scale projects, musicals, and plays such as The Rocky Horror Show, Jersey Boys, A Bridgerton Experience, A Christmas Carol, Blood  Brothers, Footloose, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, 

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and 9 to 5: The Musical allows her strong organization skills, impressive communication skills, and contagious charisma shine through. Her work on more intimate and youthful shows such as The Last Paving Stone and Pinkalicious stimulates her creative and imaginative mind and she can envision any story come alive. She is also well versed in classical theatre, and farcical pieces and is proud of her rigorous, in-depth work on Shakespeare's Richard III, Twelfth Night and Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps and Dial M for Murder.
